Our Process
Step #1: Initial Meeting
In this first meeting, we will discuss your overall dreams and desires. We’ll meet either at our office or on the prospective site to survey it—and you can share any pictures from magazines that inspire you.
We will discuss the type of construction you’d like to use and how we can save you money on your future energy bills. Ultimate Construction is a green builder!
Step #2: Financial Planning
Because construction costs are constantly changing, it is crucial to make a budget and set aside money for additional purchases throughout the process.
After gathering architectural plans and your basic design choices, Ultimate Construction will gather proposed bids from all sub-contractors who may be involved. This process may take several weeks as we wait for the bids to come back.
Step #3: Pre-Construction Agreement
After consulting with all the sub-contractors and suppliers, Ultimate Construction will meet with you to discuss a detailed breakdown of costs. Once you have determined a budget, Ultimate Construction will draw up and sign the construction contract documents.
Step #4: Scheduling & Permits
A detailed project schedule is developed for your project. Our company reviews and adjusts it on a weekly to sometimes daily basis, and informs you of any problems or changes that may affect the completion date. In order to begin construction, the permit applications are submitted with the associated building jurisdictions. Once approvals are obtained, construction can begin!
Step #5: Project Construction
We begin and complete project construction according to the approved plan and specifications. You will be updated frequently on construction progress and any problems that may arise. The scope of work includes all aspects of building a new house such as foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, drywall installation, and painting.
